The League has always promoted civility in government. We call for more respectful communication among citizens and elected officials at all government levels.
The League wants you to know your rights for travel bans, immigration detention, hate-crimes and bullying. Please read further and share these resources.

Use this advice with documents to prepare. If members of your family are detained or unavailable as caretakers, you need to have guardianship and emergency information in order and know what to say. Thanks to Latino Network and the Oregon Law Center.

The following Oregon counties will not honor ICE detainers without a court order or warrant. The County Sheriff who would enforce these actions.
Baker, Clackamas, Clatsop, Coos, Crook, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Gilliam, Grant, Hood River, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Lane, Lincoln, Malheur, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Sherman, Tillamook, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco, Washington, Wheeler, Yamhill.
