CIVICS EDUCATION BUZZ 2017

Current Resources

NASC pm groupCivics Education:

Schools can use LWVOR’s free Civics ED curriculum to teach students how to vote. Our lessons are Oregon-specific, with a full Civics curriculum endorsed by the Oregon Dept of ED. Each lesson supports our Oregon Student Mock Election. These award-winning, nonpartisan materials are classroom ready.

What’s in it for your community?

NASC
Reps from Guam, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Washington, California, Oregon, Maryland, Hawaii, and New York.

Students can learn how to overcome the scary side of today’s politics. We offer useful ways to face difficult issues for effective communication. The entire community can benefit! Our teachers say students help start thoughtful elections discussions with their families and communities. The League wants to help educate our new voters and give our students informed voices in their schools, communities and as Oregonians….also, provide leadership roles for your students!

A BIG thank you to the Multnomah Bar Foundation for supporting our Voter Service, Civics Education and Civil Discourse programs in 2017-2018!
