ACTION NEEDED:

SB 557, the Clean Energy Jobs Bill: Establishes a program which will cap climate pollution, price all qualified greenhouse gas emissions under the cap, and invest the proceeds in clean energy. For more information, see:

SB 1007 directs State Department of Energy to develop a “climate test” to conduct environmental impact study reviews for approval of proposed fossil fuel infrastructure projects. For more information, see:

We need you to act now to assist in achieving an affirmative vote on the Clean Energy Jobs (a Carbon Cap and Invest) SB 557 and Climate Test SB 1007 this session. The bills are scheduled for a work session Wed April 12, 3 pm

“Please ensure that the Senate votes affirmatively on Cap & Trade SB 557 and Climate Test SB 1007 this session. These bills can provide the state of Oregon’s support for responsible Greenhouse Gas Emissions reductions. We believe these bills deserve a vote on the House and Senate Floor. It would responsively set required reductions in Green House Gas Emissions. These bills are Oregon’s opportunity to take effective leadership in Climate Change Justice for all Oregonians.”
